If you’ve ever wondered why a molehill turned into a mountain on a simple task, it could be due to lack of process. Having a process makes tasks not only efficient, but in most instances, a process can create desired outcomes. As we discussed on our podcast, Why Process Matters, the easiest way to think of a process is a recipe. A recipe usually contains ingredients, how to apply them, and when to use them. If you have all the ingredients, know when and how to apply them, the outcome starts to become reasonably certain. The problem is we don’t create recipes, or processes, in everything we do which can ultimately cost us more time and lead to poor results.

Once you have your process created, it doesn’t stop there. A process has to be continually refined and adjusted as most things in life remain fluid and dynamic. Continually improving your process makes it easier when those unexpected things do happen in our lives that we have no control over.

No matter your goals, the secret to accomplishing them is process. Whether you are trying to purchase a recreational vehicle, spend more time with the family, buy that vacation home, or get out of a debt, a written process is Essential to earning your desired outcome.
